Amity School Long Distance Learning

During unprecedented circumstances, we're all used to spending our work life at home. As humans, we've adapted to certain lifestyles, thanks to the ongoing pandemic times. Even education,  has adapted the form of online learning. Now, you can sit in any part of the world, a remote area of any country and learn from wherever you wish to, at the flexibility and the comfort of your home. Distance learning has actually changes the way we view education now. It is not done the traditional way anymore, where classrooms, blackboard, are the pre requisites.

There are some major advantages of Long Distance Learning:

1. Learn from Anywhere

The first major advantage is that you can learn from anywhere, any part of the world, in the comfort of your home space. You can acquire a degree in any field, in any subject and specialization. There is no prior qualification required while enrolling for this course. This has proved to be an enormous advantage for the schools and colleges during the pandemic, when everything was shut. Teachers were able to conduct lectures online in schools and colleges.

2.  Flexibility of Time

In distance learning, another key advantage is the flexibility of time. You can take up the course as per your convenience. All you need is a computer and an internet connection.  Also, you do not need to  submit your documents and assignments physically, everything is done online. In schools, if somehow you're not able to attend the lecture, the session is recorded so that you can view it later.

3. No Commute

The biggest advantage of distance learning is there is no commute. You do not have to board crowded buses, trains for travel for long hours. This proved to be especially beneficial during the covid times, when social distancing was the norm.  As students, they were all sheltered without getting exposed to the virus.

It is safe to say that Distance Learning proved to be a blessing in disguise, albeit a few shortcomings.
